Building Data Equity Systems
By Julia Stoyanovich (Course Lead) This module presents a vision for building data equity systems – systems that consider equity as an essential objective. It speaks to technologists, seeking a pragmatic middle ground between techno-optimism, a belief that technology can single-handedly fix deep-seated societal problems like structural discrimination in hiring, and techno-bashing – a belief that any attempt to address inequities through technology will amount to "fairwashing" and should be dismissed outright.
