# Ethical Ambiguities of our Emergent Digital World

A lecture of the course [AI Ethics: Global Perspectives](https://aiethicscourse.org/).

## Lecturer

- Piet Naudé, Professor of Ethics, University of Stellenbosch Business School

## About this lecture

In this module, Naudé approaches the question of ethical AI from a more philosophical standpoint. He puts forth three broad ethical questions: Does technology increase inequality? Does technology decrease human autonomy? Does technology provide a sense-making narrative? Through the use of major philosophical teachings from the likes of Kant, Descartes and Feuerbach, as well as application-based cases, Naudé walks the audience through each question and presents his findings.
